Professional Conduct, and pass
the PMP Certification

Climbing Aconcagua from a Project Manager’s Perspective

Cari will discuss Project Management competency models and how they  benefit
the businesses and industries who use them. Competency models can be used
as an assessment tool for PMs and their teams and also for companies and
individuals to start mapping PM career paths.


We welcome you and your associates to join our meetings as an opportunity get
a taste of what PMI is about, enjoy good food and conversation with others in
Project Management, and hear some great presentations.

PMI Coastal Bend Chapter was formed in 1997 to promote and bring project
management training and certification to this area.  On July 20, 2001 the Coastal Bend
Chapter was officially chartered by the global PMI organization.  The Chapter currently
has members representing over 25 businesses in the Coastal Bend Area.

Chapter meetings typically offer presentations by Local Professional & Industry Leaders.
 Meeting are held at 6 PM on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

PMI COASTAL BEND SCHOLARSHIP

The PMI scholarship program was established to assist students in obtaining degrees from
accredited institutions of high learning in the field of project management or a project
management related field.

The program is open to any student preparing to enter or already attending an accredited
degree-granting college or university. Scholarships are available for students at the
bachelors, masters or doctoral level.

The Coastal Bend Chapter sponsors a $1,000 scholarship for undergraduate study awarded
in the following prioirity:

1.  Chapter Member or dependent
2.  Student at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi or Texas A&M - Kingsville
3.  Any other university in Texas.
